Preliminary Inquiry Set for Taber Murder Case

TABER – A murder case from last September near Taber is heading towards a preliminary inquiry.
On the morning of September 22, 2015, police responded to a complaint of a disturbance and a missing person at a rural home near Taber. Once on scene they discovered the body of 36-year old Silas Kiseyinewakup near the farm where he was employed.
As a result of the investigation, Stacey Charles Wahpistikwan was charged with second degree murder and offering an indignity to a body.
The three day prelim, which will determine if there’s enough evidence to proceed to trial, will begin January 18, 2017, in Taber.
