LETHBRIDGE – A 23-year old Lethbridge man – accused in a counterfeiting scheme along with two others – has been granted bail.

Jarrett James Hamilton was released on $2,000 no cash bail Thursday (Aug. 25) and will have to report to police once a week.

Hamilton was arrested and charged along with 30-year old Randy Gordon Boehner and 25-year old Renee Frances Holden – both of Calgary – last week, after nine incidents in which three people passed counterfeit U.S. $50 bills at Lethbridge businesses.

The three are charged with possession of counterfeit money and possession of material for counterfeiting, while Hamilton alone faces an additional charge of uttering counterfeit money.

Hamilton will be back in court September 15.
