Child Dies After Bicycle and Vehicle Collision Near Taber
TABER – On August 27th, 2016 around 4:40 p.m. the Taber RCMP, Taber and Taber M.D. Fire Services and Emergency Medical Services were called to a collision just south of Barnwell involving a child on a bicycle and a vehicle.
Investigators reported that the bicycle and the motorist were both traveling northbound on Range Road 174, when the collision occurred.
The bicycle rider, a 10 year old male, was taken to local hospital by EMS and then transported by STARS Air Ambulance to Calgary. The young boy child died from his injuries at the hospital.
The incident remains under investigation, however, no charges are pending.
