Fatal Collision Claims 61-Year Old Calgary Man

TABER – Charges are not anticipated following a fatal collison along Highway 36 on Saturday morning.

Taber RCMP and emergency services responded south of Highway 875 near Vauxhall, around 10:30-am.

Police say a truck was northbound on Highway 36 when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck a semi. The 61-year old driver of the truck, who’s been identified as a Calgary man, was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

He later succumbed to those injuries. The deceased’s name will not be released by RCMP.
