One dead in head-on crash near High River

One person has died in a collision in the High River area.
RCMP say a northbound SUV and a car headed south collided head-on on Highway 2, approximately six kilometres south of High River. It happened at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.
The female driver of the car was killed in the crash. STARS airlifted the 32-year-old man driving the SUV to hospital in Calgary.
As of Friday morning Highway 2 was down to one lane, and drivers were being encouraged to use an alternate route.
Police are investigating what caused or contributed to the crash.
