A by-the-numbers look at Canadians who received medical treatment abroad
VANCOUVER — The Fraser Institute says an estimated 45,619 Canadians left the country for non-emergency medical treatments in 2015. Here’s a by-the-numbers look at how 2015 compares to previous years, including the percentage change from the previous year:
2015 — 45,619 (13-per-cent decrease)
2014 — 52,513 (26-per-cent increase)
2013 — 41,838 (One-per-cent decrease)
