Twitter downsizing workforce amid struggles

Social media platform Twitter is planning to cut staff as part of a restructuring.
In its quarterly earnings report the company says changes to its sales, marketing, and partnership efforts mean a global workforce reduction of approximately nine per cent. Twitter has been trying unsuccessfully to find a buyer.
The restructuring will cost up to $20 million.
There was some good news in the quarterly earnings, which beat expectations with year-over-year growth of eight per cent.
