Four cars derail at Lethbridge Yard

LETHBRIDGE – Canadian Pacific is investigating, after four railcars derailed at the Lethbridge Yard.

According to the company, it happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. A spokesperson said the cars were upright, and no cargo spilled. They were not carrying hazardous material, and CP said there was no risk to the pubilc. However, the company added it takes such incidents seriously and will investigate throroughly.

Crews were on the scene Wednesday morning just west of Coalhurst, working to rerail the cars.
