Both Pronghorns basketball teams take on Calgary Dinos in home and home series
LETHBRIDGE – The Pronghorn men’s basketball team returns to home court Thursday (Nov. 24) for just one night as they take on the defending Canada West Champion and U Sports third ranked Calgary Dinos in a home-and-home series.
Tip-off for the opening game at the First Choice Savings Centre is slated for 8:00-pm. The back half of the series is set for Saturday (Nov. 26) night at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium in Calgary at 7:00-pm.
Through three weeks of conference action, the ‘Horns sit in a tie for third place in the conference and enter this weekend with the 10th ranked offence, scoring 76.7 points per night. Defensively, they sit in seventh spot, allowing 75.2 points per.
New comer, Elliott Sentance, continues to impress in his first season with the Pronghorns. He leads the team in scoring with 20.2 points per night, which also has him third on the Canada West scoring list. Dejon Burdeaux and Zac Overwater are both chipping in with 15.2 points per game, as well.
