ALERT seizes nearly 300 fentanyl pills during two home searches

LETHBRIDGE – Two Lethbridge men have been charged after two search warrants turned up nearly 300 fentanyl pills among other drugs.

The local ALERT team executed searches at homes along St. Francis Road North and Stafford Road North on December 14, 2016. Lethbridge Police and RCMP helped seize the following:

– 298 fentanyl pills;
– 70 ecstasy pills;
– 1 gram of methamphetamine;
– 10 grams of marijuana;
– 27 grams of an unknown white powder;
– $5,150 in cash.

Brandon Boriskewich, 32, and Curtis Larko, 41, have been charged with multiple drug-related offences. ALERT began the investigation after receiving information regarding Larko’s suspected drug trafficking.

Boriskewich is charged with one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Larko also faces two counts each of possession of a controlled substance, failure to comply with a recognizance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as one count of possession of proceeds of crime.

Citizens who suspect drug or gang activity are encouraged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers.
