Can Man Dan visit a success for Interfaith Food Bank

LETHBRIDGE – Can Man Dan’s visit to Lethbridge was a big success for the Interfaith Food bank.

Dan Johnstone camped out at the Fairmont Safeway over the weekend of Dec. 16-18 to collect food and cash donations. It worked, to the tune of $16,000. That includes more than 6,400 lbs. of food.

“Times are tough for most Albertans, and there’s not a lot of extra money floating around for people to give, but the Lethbridge residents came through once again and we raised some tremendous numbers for people in need,” Johnstone said in a news release.

Johnstone camps out in a number of Alberta communities to help local food banks. His inspiration is the help his family received when he was growing up in Edmonton.
