Hurricanes acquire defenseman in trade with Pats

LETHBRIDGE – The Hurricanes have added a 1998-born defenseman to their lineup, in a trade with the Regina Pats.

The team acquired Brady Pouteau in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. The trade was announced Wednesday, Jan. 4 and Pouteau joined the team for that night’s game in Moose Jaw.

Pouteau, from Oak Bluff, Man., is 6’3″, 200 lbs. He was drafted 79th overall by Regina in 2013. He has two goals and five assists, with a plus 7 rating and 12 penalty minutes in 61 games as a Pat.

The Hurricanes now have 13 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders on their roster.
