New west side school and French Immersion brings changes for elementary registration
LETHBRIDGE – The new school year will bring about a new French Immersion program at Nicholas Sheran School for all French Immersion residing on the westside of Lethbridge.
Lethbridge School District No. 51 is also set to open a new elementary school on the westside of the city for the 2017/2018 school year, which brought about the need for new attendance boundaries for students.
Parents are encouraged to click HERE to view the District’s boundary map. Students who live 2.4 kilometres or further from Nicholas Sheran Community School will be eligible for transportation from any area on the westside to attend French Immersion at Nicholas Sheran.
Site visits to facilitate the transition for students will be arranged in the spring, and Nicholas Sheran Community School and Coalbanks Elementary School will be hosting open houses in April for parents, students and community members.
