One year and still growing

LETHBRIDGE – One year already.

Setting out with a goal of establishing a new standard for news coverage in Lethbridge, Country 95-5 launched Lethbridge News Now on January 25, 2016.

Our aim from that day has been to bring you the top stories with the most detail from around our city and southern Alberta, while still making sure to keep you up-to-date on daily events. We have also placed a greater emphasis on sharing important stories from around Alberta, Canada and the rest of the world, taking advantage of a growing news network that is part of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group.

Whether it’s a story from City Hall that discusses how your taxes will be impacted, or a feature on the new robot that helps local kids going through medical procedures, we work to deliver the stories that matter to you.

As Lethbridge News Now, we have also taken a significant step forward in our coverage of our local WHL club, the Lethbridge Hurricanes, with full game recaps throughout the season and new features on the team and players that you cheer for.

To keep up with our busy city, we have expanded our news team. Veteran reporters Geoff Smith and Lara Fominoff have added a wealth of experience to a core that includes Dori Modney, Patrick Burles and Sam Borsato.

With all of that said, we need to thank you, the reader. Your support and news tips over the past year have been instrumental in growing Lethbridge News Now into what it is today. As we move forward, we hope to build on the relationship we have developed, bringing you the news and stories that impact your life.
