COALDALE – A registered sex offender already charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl faces new charges.

Trevor Pritchard, 32, was scheduled to appear in court on the new charges Wednesday, Jan. 25. In a news release, Coaldale RCMP said their investigation had turned up two additional victims.

The new charges are:

– Sexual assault;

– Sexual assault with a weapon (two counts);

– Sexual touching of a person under 16; and

– Communicating with a person under 18 to commit a sexual related offence.

Pritchard completed a 44-month sentence in Nov. 2013 for sexually assaulting two 13-year-old girls. Police confirmed on Jan. 19 that he had registered and was living in Coaldale.

During a brief court appearance in Provincial Court Wednesday (Jan. 25) morning, an agent speaking on behalf of Pritchard’s lawyer agreed that he will remain in custody for the time being, and had the case adjourned to Feb. 16.
