Police investigating armed robbery in Fort Macleod
FORT MACLEOD – RCMP in Fort Macleod are investigating an armed robbery Monday night (Jan. 30) in the community.
They were called to the Liquor Cabinet on Main Street in Fort Macleod around 8:30 p.m., after an unknown male with a three inch folding knife entered the store and demanded the clerk open the cash register and turn it towards him. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and walked eastbound toward 6 Avenue.
The suspect is a white male, about 5’7, with a slim build and in his mid to late 20’s. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hoodie with a large scarf wrapped around his head, lighter jeans and black sneakers.
