Over 300 exhibitors on board for the 41st annual Home and Garden Show
LETHBRIDGE – Exhibition Park and the Canadian Homebuilders Association (CHBA) are planning on a bigger and better than ever Home and Garden Show this year.
It’s all set for March 22 to 25, and Doug Kryzanowski, Exhibition Park marketing manager, says there will be plenty of renovation, design and do-it-yourself ideas to inspire your next project.
Over 300 exhibitors are already registered, with even more on the waiting list hoping to make it into the 41st annual show.
Making its way back this year is the BDO five star exhibitor awards — based on criteria that make the winning booths and services a compliment to the show — as well as the ATCO carefree kitchen cooking theatre.
There are a few exciting new additions to the 2017 Home and Garden Show, as well!
Landscapers Earthlings Inc., Hedgecore Landscaping, DT Renovations and Country Landscapers will all be taking part in the new Burnco landscaper challenge. They must design and build a backyard for under $10,000, with limited materials and in the confined space of the Heritage Hall.
The public will then vote for their favourite display, and the winner will receive the “People’s Choice” award on the last day of the show.
Other additions include a newly constructed Burnco deck to serve as a relaxing area for those in attendance, daily gardening practice and painting presentations from the Lethbridge and District Horticultural Society and Ferguson Painting, and finally, the Horticultural Society will also be teaching 100 local kids all about seed planting, on Saturday (Mar. 25) from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..
“Home building is a cornerstone of what makes a community great… We’re all working together to build the community,” noted Angela Zuba, CEO of the CHBA, Lethbridge region. “A lot of our members partake in this show, and we want to showcase the high level of product and services that we can deliver.”
Kryzanowski added that show guides and activity schedules should be going out to all local mailboxes by next week. Admission is seven-dollars per person.
