One dead following head on collision near Granum

GRANUM – One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision Thursday (Mar. 16) afternoon.
Around 4:00 p.m., Fort Macleod RCMP responded to the incident along Highway 519, about 15-kilometers east of Granum.
Police determined that a car heading westbound attempted to pass another vehicle, when it collided head on with an eastbound SUV.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead, while the driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
