First of 2017 Alberta Disc Golf Tournaments held in Lethbridge this weekend

LETHBRIDGE – The 2nd annual “Spring Runoff Disc Golf” tournament — a PDGA sanctioned event, begins today (April 22) in Lethbridge at Nicholas Sheran Park.

It runs until tomorrow (April 23), and is the very first event on the Alberta Disc Golf tour.

All divisions are available and all skill levels are welcome.

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. But Instead of a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee.

The sport was formalized in the 1970’s, and shares the objective of completing each hole in the fewest strokes or fewest throws.
