
Accused in Walsh Drive standoff makes first court appearance
LETHBRIDGE – The 42-year old man arrested following a standoff with Lethbridge Police on the west side on Wednesday (May 24) is facing a number of charges.
Daniel Desmond Crowder is accused of breaching probation, failing to comply with a probation order, utterings threats causing death or bodily harm and possession of body armour without a valid permit.
He made a brief appearance in Lethbridge Provincial Court Thursday morning (May 26), and the matter was adjourned to May 30.
The incident started to unfold around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, when police responded to a request to check on the well-being of a man at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Walsh Drive West, regarding comments made on social media.
