FORT MACLEOD – An investigation is ongoing into a fire that destroyed two vehicles in Fort Macleod on Monday (Aug. 21).
RCMP and the fire department were called to the blaze in the 300 block of 10 St. in Fort Macleod around 5:15 p.m.
Large amounts of black smoke were observed from a distance, as the fire spread from one vehicle to a second, then to a nearby residence.
Police cleared the residence and evacuated several others, and while both vehicles sustained heavy damage, fire crews were able to limit the involvement to the exterior of the home, preventing major damage.
