Nanton woman facing trafficking charges

NANTON – A woman faces drug charges after a traffic stop near the community last month.

The 42-year-old Nanton woman was headed south on Highway 2 when she was pulled over by RCMP Sept. 22. According to police, that traffic stop resulted in the seizure of large quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, and MDMA (also known as ecstasy.)

RCMP also say they found evidence of trafficking.

The accused will be in court Fort Macleod Nov. 1. She faces multiple charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
