WATCH: Moon puts on show, but view blocked from Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE – The weather has not been cooperating with attempts to see the “Super Blue Blood Moon” from Lethbridge.

The sky was overcast Wednesday morning, with light snow flurries, and a sudden break in the clouds did not appear imminent before the total lunar eclipse was due to end at 7:07 a.m. Lethbridge time.

However, NASA provided a live stream. WATCH:

During the lunar eclipse, refracted sunlight made the moon appear red. It was also a “super moon”, when the moon is at its closest point in orbit to the Earth, and a “blue moon” — the second full moon in January.
