LETHBRIDGE – Snowfall warnings continued for southern Alberta Monday, Feb. 5, and the first school closings were starting to come in.

The snowfall warning affects the areas of Lethbridge, Taber, Fort Macleod, Cardston, Blood Reserve, Pincher Creek, Piikani Nation, Waterton, Crowsnest Pass, and Foremost. Totals of 10-15 cm were expected, on top of the snow earlier in the weekend.

The snow is expected to taper off to flurries later in the morning.

Highways in the immediate Lethbridge area were listed as partly snow-covered Monday morning. Roads farther south and west were reported to be snow-covered, with poor visibility due to continued snowfall.
