Health Canada recalls some uncertified USB chargers

LETHBRIDGE – Health Canada is recalling various uncertified USB Chargers sold in stores across the country, including GEMS Mobile Device Wall Chargers sold at Peavy Marts across western Canada.
As part of a national compliance and sampling project, the devices were found to pose an unacceptable risk of electric shock and fire.
If you have purchased one, Health Canada asks you to take it back to the point of purchase or dispose of the item, and to only use certified products.
