Recycling Roundup at London Drugs on June 9
LETHBRIDGE — If you haven’t got around to spring cleaning yet….or you’re only half way through it and looking at mounds of mess, Lethbridge London Drugs may be able to help.
The local pharmacy will hold a recycling roundup that goes beyond the Blue Bin, on Saturday, June 9, coinciding with Lethbridge Environment Week.
London Drugs, in association with National Salvage, GEEP, and “More for Less Thrift Stores”, will accept items for responsible recycling.
Residents will be able to drop off a variety of household hard-to-recycle items not accepted through the new curbside recycling program, such as plastic bags, scrap metal, Styrofoam, and electronics. The event will provide an opportunity for residents to responsibly recycle household items that are either at the end of their usable life or that can be donated and reused by local charities.
Recycling has been a habit for London Drugs’ operations for decades and they want to help local residents get into the same habit and recycle beyond the blue bin. The London Drugs in Lethbridge boasts a 95.4% diversion rate – among the highest in the chain.
