Southern Alberta pair charged in break ins

LETHBRIDGE —  An investigation into a string of residential break ins has resulted in charges against a 24-year-old Milk River woman and a 29-year-old Lethbridge man.  

Working with the Picture Butte RCMP, officers from the Lethbridge Priority Crimes Unit identified suspects who were located on Wednesday (June 27) in possession of a stolen vehicle at a city gas station.  While the pair fled on foot, the woman was apprehended a short distance away and the man was later located and arrested at a city hotel.

An investigation determined the pair committed six break and enters between June 13 and June 27 in Lethbridge and Picture Butte, stealing a variety of property including jewelry, electronics, passports and cash.

Joshua Anthony Woodruff is charged with six counts of housebreaking and committing theft and one count of theft of a motor vehicle. He is remanded in custody for a court appearance July 3.
