Lethbridge County announces community grant recipients

LETHBRIDGE COUNTY – More than a dozen recipients will be getting anywhere from $2,000 to $11,000 from Lethbridge County’s 2018 Community Grant Program.
They include recreational societies, clubs and community associations. Here is the full list:
- Coaldale Spartans – Field House Replacement – $3,000
- Coalhurst Parks & Rec Society – Coalhurst Spray Park – $11,000
- Diamond City Citizens Association – Foundation Repairs – $13,000
- Fort Whoop-Up Interpretive Society – Exhibit Redevelopment – $5,000
- Friends of Coalhurst Elementary School Society – School Playground Upgrades – $5,000
- Hilltoppers Gymkhana Club – Horse Pens and Wind Fence – $2,000
- Indian Hill Golf Club – Facility Enhancement – $5,000
- Keho Lake Recreational Society – Campground Expansion – $3,000
- LeBarons Car Club – Moveable Fencing – $11,000
- Picture Butte Elks Benevolent Society – Exterior Renovations- $4,000
- Prairie Tractor & Engine Museum – Kitchen Upgrades – $5,000
- Readymade Community Association – Facility Upgrades – $11,000
- Shaughnessy Community Association – Community Grounds Upgrades – $11,000
- Sunnyside Community Association – School Improvements – $11,000
Reeve Lorne Hickey says the program allows for organizations to receive much-needed funding to better their facilities, and to ensure residents can continue to enjoy an excellent quality of life.
