Pair from Lethbridge charged after Taber assault

Taber police have charged a man and woman from Lethbridge in connection with a violent home invasion.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, police were called to a home on the 5800 block 52 Street in Taber, where an 87-year-old man had been beaten and robbed of money. Later that day, the pair were arrested in Lethbridge.

22-year old Heinrich Froese and 28-year old Stacey Leigh Carlson face charges of break/enter and robbery, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon. Froese made an initial appearance in Lethbridge court on Friday and is scheduled to apear in Taber court on July 17.
