Bulls even Medicine Hat series with road win

MEDICINE HAT – The Lethbridge Bulls evened their playoff series with the Medicine Hat Mavericks, with a 5-2 road victory Wednesday, Aug. 1.
The Bulls took an early lead when Dylan Borman smacked a two-run homer in the first inning. Then in the third, Blake MacDonald doubled to drive home Borman and Kaleb Warden. MacDonald later scored in the sixth inning on a Jaret Semeniuk single.
Starter Luc Hebert earned the win, allowing two runs on seven hits before closer Talon Derrick came in for the final two outs.
The win snaps a seven-game losing streak for the Bulls and ties the first-round playoff series 1-1. Game three is Thursday, Aug. 2 at 7:05 p.m. at Spitz Stadium.
