Body of missing man found in Waterton Lakes National Park

LETHBRIDGE – The search for a 23-year-old Lethbridge man who had been missing for more than two weeks has ended, with Pincher Creek RCMP reporting that Samson Mandefro’s body has been recovered in Waterton Lakes National Park.

According to police, they were contacted on Saturday, Aug. 25, and informed that a body was found in Upper Waterton Lake. He was later identified as Mandefro.

Mandefro had last been heard from on Aug. 10, one day after he went to Waterton with a friend.

An autopsy will now be conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary, as part of the investigation into his cause of death.
