LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Lightning training camp is just around the corner as the team prepares for its second season in the Ranchlands Hockey League.

In a release, the team stated they’re still recruiting for the 2018/19 campaign.

The first session will take place on Saturday, Sept. 8 between 9:15 and 11:30 p.m. and it’s a skill-related practice. The second and third sessions will feature intrasquad games, and spectators are encouraged to join the team at the ATB East Arena for those games. The second session is on Sept. 9 at 5:15 p.m. running until 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 16 from 4 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.

The Lightning went 11-8-1 in the regular season last year and advanced to the league finals before being defeated by the champion Nanton Palominos.

Early player registration fee is $100 before Aug. 31. After that date, registration bumps up to $125.

Players can pre-register by downloading registration, medical and release forms from the team’s website here.
