Matchups set for League and Regional finals across Southern Alberta High School Football
SOUTHERN ALBERTA – It’s the post-season in the Southern Alberta High School Football League and following a raucous first weekend several must-see matchups are now on the schedule.
In Tier I, it’s a rivalry game between the Raymond Comets and the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Rams on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the University of Lethbridge stadium. This is a re-match from last year when the Comets had home field advantage, but it was the Rams moving on with a 31-10 victory.
The Catholic Central Cougars defeated the Chinook Coyotes 36-0 in the Tier II league final this past weekend.
With the win, the Cougars advanced to the Regional Final against the Rangeland representative, the Medicine Hat High Mohawks, to decide who gets the birth in Provincials. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Medicine Hat Methanex Bowl on Friday, Nov. 2.
