Nov 20, 2018 | 10:06 PM

PRINCE ALBERT —  The first game of a four-game eastern road trip brought the Hurricanes a 5-1 loss in Prince Albert.

It was a daunting game for the Canes, who were taking on a Raiders team looking for their 14th straight win and are now 21-1 on the season.  To top it off, Raiders goalie, Ian Scott was just named WHL Goaltender of the Week (for the third time in year) and CHL Goaltender of the week.

In Tuesday night’s game, Scott made 29 saves on 30 shots for his 18th win on the season.

Scoring summary:

First Period

1-0, Raiders, Brett Leason from Parker Kelly and Brayden Pachal, 4:30

Second Period

1-1, Hurricanes, Taylor Ross (unassisted), 0:28

2-1, Raiders, Brayden Pachal from Zack Hayes and Kody McDonald, 18:55

Third Period

3-1, Raiders, Brett Leason (shorthanded, unassisted), 7:03

4-1, Raiders, Brett Leason from Parker Kelly and Brayden Pachal, 11:35

5-1, Raiders, Kody McDonald (shorthanded) from Parker Kelly, 17:00

Both teams racked up penalty minutes.  However, the balance was weighted on the Raiders’ side at 37 to Lethbridge’s 20. The biggest penalties came at 16:43 in the third frame. Raiders captain Brayden Pachal was issued a major penalty for interference after a heavy and late collision on Hurricanes captain Jordy Bellerive. P-A’s Zack Taylor and the Canes’ Taylor Ross were both levied game misconducts for roughing.

The Hurricanes, now  9-8-2-2 on the season, take on the Blades (14-7-2-0) in Saskatoon Wednesday (Nov 21) night.
