Fire crew responds to vehicle fire on north side

LETHBRIDGE —  Engine crew six from the Lethbridge Fire Department and an ambulance responded to a vehicle fire on the corner of 23rd street and 5th Avenue north around 12:40 Tuesday afternoon.
 
 A fire official from the crew confirmed there were two adults in the vehicle, which stalled at the intersection and the engine then erupted in flames.  Both occupants were able to get out of the car and no one was injured.

The fire burned through the engine compartment of the 2012 Chrysler 200 and fire crews used copious amounts of water to put out the blaze.  The vehicle is a write-off.
