Massage therapist charged with sexual assault

LETHBRIDGE —  Police have charged a 53-year-old massage therapist with sexual assault.

On November 28, a 34-year-old woman attended the police station to report she had been sexually assaulted during a massage earlier in the day. The allegations involved inappropriate touching.

Following further investigation,  53-year old Cyprien Mudenge was charged with one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 10.

Mudenge was dismissed from his employment and at this time there is no evidence to suggest there are any additional victims, however anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444.
