Police charge multiple individuals in carfentanil and heroin raid
LETHBRIDGE — Police have charged six people and seized pre-packed heroin and carfentanil following the execution of a search warrant at a northside home.
On December 21, a combined force, which included members of the Downtown Policing Unit, Traffic Response Unit and K9 Unit with assistance from the Violent Crimes Unit, School Resource Officers and Training Unit, executed a search warrant at a home along the 200 block of 15 Street North.
Of the 13 people located inside the home, nine were found to have outstanding arrest warrants (some multiple warrants). During the search, two more people were arrested after one attended to buy drugs and a second met up with police at a nearby location after calling the house to set up a drug deal.
Police seized 21 pre-packaged doses of carfentanil, 16 pre-packaged doses of heroin, numerous stolen ID and health cards and stolen property including skis, a mountain bike and tools.
