Christmas Day investigation leads RCMP to stolen property, drugs and outstanding warrant arrests

CLARESHOLM —  Santa brought lumps of coal for five Southern Albertans on Christmas day.  It came in the form of criminal charges, dutifully delivered by uniformed RCMP officers.
 
The day’s events began with police tracking a stolen Okotoks vehicle equiped with GPS, which made it easy to locate the vehicle at a home in Claresholm.  Officers then tracked the suspects to a second location in Claresholm.
 
A search warrant conducted at the house, turned up drugs, stolen property, stolen identifications and weapons. 

Four men and a woman were arrested. A total of 45 new charges were laid, plus warrants for arrest on these individuals where they will be facing an additional 27 charges from other jurisdictions. 24 of the additional charges are against one man who was Unlawfully at Large.

Michael Wayne Bolt, aged 40, of Claresholm was charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, four counts of stolen property and id, two counts of possession of weapons dangerous to the public, one count of personation, four counts of breach of Probation, and three counts of breach of recognizance.

Cameron Douglas Clark, aged 40, of Claresholm faces one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, four counts of stolen property and id, two counts of possession of weapons dangerous to the public and two counts of Breach of Recognizance.

Cole Stuart McLean, aged 30, of no fixed address, was charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, five counts of stolen property and id, four counts of possession of weapons dangerous to the public.

Natasha Bekker, aged 27, of Calgary, faces two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, four counts of stolen property and id, two counts of possession of weapons dangerous to the public.

Jason Donald Turner, aged 35, was charged with one count of possession of stolen property, one count of possession of methamphetamine, and one count of breach of probation.

Bolt, Clark and McLean were remanded to appear on January 2nd, 2019, while Turner and Bekker were released to appear January 9th, 2019, all  in Fort MacLeod Provincial Court
