Tim Meech to carry Alberta Party banner in Livingstone-Macleod in provincial election

FORT MACLEOD – Another name has been confirmed to carry a party banner into the 2019 provincial election in Livingstone-Macleod, as Tim Meech will be the nominated candidate for the Alberta Party.

He joins Claresholm entrepreneur Roger Reid, who won the UCP nomination in December and Liberal candidate Dylin Hauser.

Meech is an experienced journeyman tradesperson, oil and gas professional, service club member, and community volunteer.

He believes the Alberta Party offers a fresh, positive, and creative approach to getting things done in Alberta.

“We’re made up of problem-solvers and innovators who aim to tackle our challenges using real-world experience and practical solutions – not ideology,” Meech said. “I’m deeply concerned Alberta is at a critical crossroads and needs strong forward-thinking leadership to ensure our best days are ahead of us and not behind us.”

Meech, originally from Okotoks, moved to Fort Macleod about a dozen years ago and was attracted to run for the Alberta due to the policies and the people already involved with the party.

The Alberta Party’s slogan is “A Party For All of Us” and Meech believes they’re problem solvers.

“They don’t start at the end with the ideology, they begin with what the problem is and then they work from there on what possible solutions could be.”
