20th Independent Field Battery to conduct military training in Lethbridge area this weekend
LETHBRIDGE – Army Reserve soldiers from the 20th Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery will be conducting Exercise SNOWBALL GUNNER in the Lethbridge area on Jan. 26 and 27.
The training will take place in the surrounding area of Lethbridge, and the exercise will allow Army Reserve soldiers to practice essential military skills in a field setting, preparing them for integrated training with the Regular Force.
A release states Exercise SNOWBALL GUNNER will consist of soldiers carrying rifles, both on foot and in vehicles, participating in training scenarios to practice their basic skills.
This training will include patrolling, moving by vehicles and convoy, and local security. All military participants will be dressed in Canadian Disruptive Pattern (CADPAT) uniforms during the exercise.
