Regional RCMP detachment project out for tender
COALDALE – The new regional RCMP detachment that will be built in Coaldale has seen the next step in the process taken.
The project has gone out for tender, and Staff Sgt. Glenn Henry says it’s a steady as she goes process.
“The part of the process going on right now is there is a tender for bids out for construction companies to bid on the contract,” Henry continued. “The timeframe will be for 40 days, and I think it started on Jan. 25.”
Once the company is selected and they figure out what they plan to do, Henry says at that point they’ll probably have a sod-turning event at that time, but right now is just another small step in the process.
