Slick road conditions in southern Alberta prompt police warnings
COALDALE – The windy conditions across southern Alberta are sending the snow drifting across area roads and highways, and creating some dangerous conditions for travellers, according to Coaldale and Taber/Vauxhall RCMP.
RCMP are cautioning people that Highway 3 and 23 are in poor driving condition, with extremely slippery sections. Officers are attending several collisions and are asking the public to slow down and drive carefully.
Similarly, in the Taber/Vauxhall areas, where police are on the scene of a semi-rollover on Highway 36 south of Taber, near Township Road 94.
Traffic in the area will be re-routed for the next couple of hours, and motorists can expect delays.
