Local man and woman arrested in possession of stolen items

NANTON —  A Taber man and a Lethbridge woman are facing a string of charges after being arrested by Nanton police in possession of drugs and numerous stolen items.
 
The pair were arrested in Nanton on Friday, March 22.  Police recovered possible stolen coins, watches, and camera equipment. They would like to find the owners of this property as soon as possible.

Curtis James Carbert, aged 39, faces 17 charges, including three counts of Possession of an illegal substance (heroin, cocaine and crystal meth); five counts of possession of stolen property under $5.000; two counts of Possession of stolen property over $5,000; three counts of Poression of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; three counts of failing to comply with a Recognizance and being Disguised with intent to commit an offence.
 
Holly Renee Ferguson, aged 27, faces 14 charges, includingthree counts of Possession of an illegal substance (heroin, cocaine and crystal meth); five counts of possession of stolen property under $5.000; two counts of Possession of stolen property over $5,000; three counts of Poression of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and being Disguised with intent to commit an offence.
 
Carbert and Ferguson are in custody and set to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on March Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
