Highway 3 Connector Transit Route between Lethbridge and Medicine Hat up and running

LETHBRIDGE, AB – It got a little easier to travel from Lethbridge to Medicine Hat, and several places in between, this week.

SOUTHLAND Transportation Ltd., in partnership with the City of Medicine Hat and the City of Lethbridge, started providing a new transit route on Monday, April 15 that will connect Medicine Hat to Lethbridge.

The Highway 3 Connector stops in Redcliff, Medicine Hat, Seven Persons, Bow Island, Burdett, Grassy Lake, Purple Springs, Taber, Barnwell, Coaldale and Lethbridge. The service operates five times a week with two round trips between Medicine Hat and Lethbridge per day.

The Rural Transportation Pilot Project was designed to assist municipalities by expanding public transportation to rural communities.

SOUTHLAND Transportation Ltd. buses arrive and depart from Lethbridge on 4 Ave between 5 and 6 St S. Bookings can be made online by visiting highway3connector.ca, and over the phone by calling 1-877-367-4993.

SOUTHLAND Transportation Ltd. is offering the service free of charge for the first two weeks.
