Lethbridge citizens named to Premier Designate Jason Kenney’s senior staff

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Premier-designate Jason Kenney has announced the members of his senior staff, and included in the list of just five, are two people from Lethbridge.

Jamie Huckabay will be Kenney’s Chief of Staff. He was born and raised in Lethbridge and was a key member of Kenney’s Leadership Campaign.

According to a news release, he has considerable public and private sector experience. Former positions include Director at mobile Technology firm Taplytics and Vice President at the Gerson Lehrman Group. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Lethbridge, master’s in international Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from Oxford University. As the Chief Administrator, Huckabay will oversee political operations and implementation of the Premier’s agenda and priorities.

Kenney’s Head of Transition is David Knight Legg, who also grew up in Lethbridge. Legg received his undergraduate degree from the U of L, a master’s degree in public administration from Queens University, PhD from Yale, and a law degree from Oxford University. Legg’s job will be to oversee the transition into government for incoming administration.

Other members of Kenney’s inner-circle include Principle Secretary Howard Anglin, Executive Director of Communication and Planning, Katy Merrifield, and Deputy Director of Communications and Press Secretary Christine Myatt.
