Spring storm wreaks havoc across Alberta

Apr 28, 2019 | 1:39 AM

LETHBRIDGE — We were warned a storm was heading in the direction of Southern Alberta but, many didn’t want to believe it – considering it is late April.

However, the system that hit Edmonton Friday night, covering the region in a blanket of snow, did make its way this far south – hitting Red Deer, walloping Cochrane on its way to Calgary and then down to Lethbridge. Highway-1 and areas east of Calgary have also been hit hard.
