LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service is investigating a report about two suspicious men who offered a 10-year-old girl a ride to school earlier this week.

Police say the girl was waiting for a school bus near 18 Street and 18 Avenue North on Monday, May 6 around 8:10 a.m. when the two men spoke to her from a vehicle parked along the curb.

They told the child that they knew her father, and they were supposed to give her a ride to school, but she didn’t recognize them.

Nothing about being picked up had been communicated to her by her parents, so she did not go with them, and the subjects left the scene without incident.

Attempts to identify and locate the two men have been unsuccessful to date, and police are asking anyone with information to reach out.

The men are described as being 20-30 years old, with dark skin, and one of them had dyed red and green hair with a moustache. The vehicle is described as a red, four-door car but the make and model are unknown.

Anyone with information, or who might’ve been in the area and observed a vehicle or subjects matching the description above, is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
