Bail denied man facing charges in relation to Cardston B & E last December

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 26-year-old man charged with numrerous offences including break and enter, assault, and theft, has been denied bail after a bail review hearing in Court of Queen’s Bench Monday, June 24.

Appearing in court in person the judge ordered that Riley Mistaken Chief remain in custody until a preliminary hearing in Cardston Provincial Court Sept.25.

Cardston RCMP say on Dec. 17, 2018 around noon, they were called to a home where an elderly woman was allegedly threatened, assaulted and robbed of her vehicle.

Her wallet was also taken, and her bank cards used multiple times. A suspect was located and caught after he was identified on surveillance video.

The woman was transported to local hospital for treatment and released. Her vehicle was also found some time later in Stand Off.
