Hurricanes’ home opener set for September 20

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The WHL has announced the 2019-2020 season home openers for teams across the league Monday morning.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes’ Dairy Queen home opener is scheduled for Friday, September 20 at the ENMAX Centre. The Hurricanes will welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Meanwhile, the Tigers’ home opener is set for September 21 against the Hurricanes.

Earlier this month, the WHL announced its pre-season schedule.

The regular season will start up on September 20 around the league. A full schedule for the 2019-2020 season has yet to be released.

Last season, the Lethbridge Hurricanes finished with a record of 40-18-5-5. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in seven games by the Calgary Hitmen.

The Prince Albert Raiders won the 2019 Rogers WHL Championship Series by defeating the Vancouver Giants in seven games.
