LETHBRIDGE — The Lethbridge Police Service has concluded its investigation into a suspicious person case from earlier this month.

On June 18th, 2019, the detachment reported a man approached a 14-year-old girl in front of Stan Siwik Pool in his vehicle and invited her to have lunch with him.

The original release from the police station says the girl declined the invitation and said her parents were on the way. The man then left the area.

Lethbridge Police have since released the following statement on the case.

“The 32-year-old male was cooperative, attended the police station and admitted to having contact with the girl, but believed she was over 18.”

“As no criminal offence occurred, the male was released without charges,” adds police.
